A Note from Our Recruitment Chair

Dear Potential New Members,

The time is almost here! Having all of my sisters back in Iowa City is the best feeling ever. We are so ready to start formal recruitment and grow our family. Seeing my sisters shine makes me so excited to meet all of you, and show you how special it is to be apart of the Panhellenic community. Finding your family away from home is like nothing else, and I cannot wait for you to find yours.

I never thought I would go through recruitment. When I decided to give it a try, I never thought it would impact my life the way it has. I was able to find a group of like minded women who encouraged me at my best and supported me at my worst, and through all, stayed a loyal and loving friend. Chi Omega was the best decision I could have made, and our bond is truly like no other.

Now, halfway through college, I canโ€™t help but think about when I was PNM. I was nervous, homesick, and stressed about school. Once I joined Chi Omega, all of those worries went away. I found girls who felt like home. Looking back, I have grown immensely, and it is all thanks to these women. This chapter has no end of selfless, brilliant, beautiful women who are an honor to be around. I am so thankful I get to be completely myself around them no matter what, and I strive to make them proud every day.

PNMs: I am SO excited to watch your story unfold. Greek life has so much to offer, and I have no doubt that you will find a chapter at the University of Iowa that has made you as fulfilled as Chi Omega makes me. I am eager to begin Formal Recruitment and the amazing process and am sure that you will learn so much about yourself through these few weeks.

XOXO,

Grace Dabareiner (Recruitment Chair)
